Not what it seems

To those of you who think I have it together

Everything is always not what is seems like.
I get asked a lot how I can balance being a stay at home mom, going to college, and blogging in between all of that, and the truth is I don't. What? I don't!

I try really hard to be on track of everything , like keeping our home clean and organized, and doing all my college work, preparing dinner, and keeping our rooms clean, but sometimes its can be so difficult. There are days where I barely finish Cleaning just so my toddler can dump all her toys out again. There are some days where I am rocking this whole life thing and have everything including dinner made at 4pm. Then there are other days where I barely finish making dinner at 8 pm.

Everyone always sees the pretty pictures, but the struggle in getting those pictures is Real.

I was really blessed with the fact that Genesis has always slept all night long ever since she was born, and the occasional nap during the day. She is always keeping me on my toes especially when she acts like a teenager in a two year old body. She is so sassy, but in the end I love this life. Even if it means Genesis spilling Something on the floors everyday. Even if it means I never finish doing laundry, and all I ever do is cook and clean.

The one mistake I know I won't make is dressing Genesis in beautiful handmade peices that comes from someone who puts hard work and dedication into making them. Pink Bow Design is one of our favorite shops and we have purchased from her shop ever since Genesis was born. Olga, The owner is always accepting custom orders, and is so great at suprising you with the quality of the items, and how well made they are. She made this bonnet and linen suspender skirt for us, and I absolutely love both. Thee bonnet is reversible; one side is a pink color( of course) and the other side is a ivory curdoroy, which adds a nice touch to it the simpicity of the bonnet. The clothing is just one thing that make this life a little better, but at the end of the day I feel so incredibly blessed because I have my family and I love them so much .

Cool Babies, Cool Moms, Cool Product

Genesis loves ice cream so much that she usually asks to eat it every single day ,but as much as she loves ice cream she always makes a big mess with it. She usually doesn't eat it fast enough and it starts melting ,and it gets all over her face and fingers.

Luckily, I always carry my Evian Facial Spray around with me in my diaper bag. It has been a game changer ever since I got it. I love the fact that it has no harsh chemicals, so I know it's safe to use on Genesis hands and on her face to clean up the sticky ice cream. I usually try to find the best and most safest products for us to use , and Evian Facial Spray  is one of them ,since it's made from natural spring water from it's source in Evian-les-bains,France. I usually use hand sanitizer, but you can't spray that on your face. It's also travel size so it fits perfectly in all my diaper bags and in my small purses. The cannister is also leak proof so I know I will not get an unexpected messy spill in my diaper bag.

It's also really good for us as parents to use I usually use it to refresh my face. I just spray it a couple of feet away from my face and let it dry. It's also perfect for any skin type which is great, since mine can sometimes be oily or dry.

The best thing is that they are doing a giveaway for my followers . Where 3 luck winners will receive a Skip Hop Duo Signatura diales bag, un Heather Gray filled with a 10 oz. 5 oz.  and a trio of travel sized Evian Facial Sprays

Saving the World and being fashionable ... One bonnet at a time

It is very important to keep our planet clean and safe. It is after all the same planet where our children, and grandchildren, and their children and so on will inhabit. There are so many ways to keep it clean such as, recycling, which is one of the most important things to do.

You would not believe how much stuff goes in our landfills that can be recycled, and can be made into something new. The one thing that there is most is clothing .

I especially love This bonnet fromSimply August. She makes her bonnets from upcycled shirts, and dresses to avoid all those items going to waste and ending up in landfills. They all have this vintage look to them that I absolutely love. I also really liked the fact that all bonnets have an elastic in the back that can adjust their head depending on their size. The quality is also great. I was really intrigued to buy a bonnet just because I knew that the items used to make the bonnet where upcycled , which means in a way I was helping so one less article of clothing was going into a landill, one more step to helping the world.

Simply August will be having some bonnets for sale today on her instagram @simply.august at 8 PM EST, so be sure to check them out.

Bad hair day? Put a bonnet on it!

I am always on the run. We are always running errands. Whether it is going to the store, or just simple things like going to visit my family, being busy all the time nowadays I rarely have time to do Genesis hair.(Not even mine, and its not like she has much hair) Some days are so stressful between being a SAHM, while trying to find free time to blog, read books, and going to college. Life is HARD! SO... What do I do when I am on the go? I usually just put a bonnet on G's head. It is so much easier and less time consuming than giving her pigtails, and she still looks cute.

I love bonnets, because I can just put one on her when she has a bad hair day, or for when its windy outside. I especially love the bonnets from Queenie's Kids. The quality looks and feels amazing. I was so surprised by how well made they were. They are also so many options available that you will want all of them, and the best part is that they are reversible, so you can wear them two ways. They're also great for wearing all year round. It helps keep warmth in the winter and cool in the summer. their versatility is so amazing that they mostly coordinate with any outfit. ( Yes! that is a must!) The shop owner is also really nice and just so amazing. She is also very fast at answering any questions you may have a bonnet.

Their 500th follower gets a free bonnet. ( who doesn't want a free bonnet) so go give them a follow here

Most of yall probably see my daughter with stylish dresses all the time, and truth is we love to shop. 🙈

I want to share with you my favorite shop to get beautiful handmade dresses. The name of the shop is Sew Sweet The shop is owned by a mother of three. She hasn't had her shop open for a very long time, but is so excited to finally follow her dreams in creating beautiful and unique clothing.

Well I really like this white dress because it's so simple and you can mix and match it with anything. You can also combine it with many different colors. The material is also super soft that they can also wear it for play or as a night gown. (genesis might have worn hers to go to sleep) It just has the perfect touch of simplicity and elegance at the same time. Every girl needs a white dress in their closet, so what are yall waiting for? No more tired feet. YAY!

This post was sponsored by sole patches " Wear your shoes all day... painlessly!"

Happy late holidays guys I have been a little MIA lately, but I'm back now. Well the holidays are always so much fun, and usually you get to spend so much time with friends and family that you don't notice how fast the time goes by. This year we went to many parties at friend's house. We had so much fun the guys started doing Karaoke and it was just hilarious.

Parties are so much fun, but sometimes its always so hard to find the right outfit and coordinating shoes. I always seem to have a difficult time; especially when finding the perfect shoes, and the first thing that always comes to my mind is "what if my shoes aren't comfortable enough and I get tired" or "should I take an extra pair of shoes just in case....". We should never have to go through that! Well you know how we went to all those fun parties during the holidays,I wore heels to them, and I wasn't even tired ,if you know me I don't usually wear heels. (sometimes to church)Why? I get so tired in them, and I have this  shoe arch for tennis shoes that is supposed to help me with feet pain and help my flat feet problem, but you can't wear them with sandals or heels or flats of any type.(That kinda sucks)

Luckily just in time for the holidays I found Sole Patches. I just placed them in my shoes in the place it usually starts aching ,when I wear them, and I put my shoes on and done. The best thing is you can't even tell they're there, and you won't be tired the next time you go to a party. Now bring on all the parties!
